June-Sept. 2009: La Sabranesque is offering a free two-week trip to France for volunteers who do restoration work on beautiful ruins in the Provence region of France. Volunteers work during weekday mornings and occasional weekday afternoons, while traveling the French countryside and seeing historic sites the rest of the time. A typical day: “a Saturday may be spent first at the pretty town of Uzes, with its colorful market. After a picnic, the group then visits the Pont du Gard, spectacular Roman aqueduct crossing the Gardon river.” Volunteers are typically of many ages and come from many countries.
